National Trust accused of going ‘too woke’ after releasing 2024 calendar with ‘no Christmas’
The National Trust has been accused of going “too woke” after releasing a charity calendar that excludes both Christmas and Easter.
Members of Europe’s largest conservation charity were in disbelief over the “inclusivity and wellbeing” calendar which failed to include the Christian holiday but appeared to feature other religions’ festivals.

One of the concerns raised included the increased focus on the slavery links of its historic properties.
A spokesperson for the Trust said Christmas and Easter remain special dates in its diary.
However, they added that the inclusivity calendar was designed to help bring attention to a number of events offered at its facilities and attractions.
During the meeting, Trust member David Lamming received a round of applause after commenting on the fact a volunteer had raised concerns with him about the “inclusivity calendar”.

“It doesn’t include the Christian festivals of Christmas and Easter,” Lamming said.
“Can we have an explanation please for those being omitted?”
One audience member at the general meeting which took place at the STEAM museum in Swindon added the Trust had gone “too woke”.
