Senior Walsall Labour councillor quits after investigation into ‘abhorrent’ Hitler post
A senior Labour councillor has quit the party hours after he was suspended for an “abhorrent” social media post he allegedly uploaded comparing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Hitler.
The post, allegedly uploaded late last week to Mr Hussain’s WhatsApp story, depicts Nazi leader Adolf Hitler wearing a mask of the Israeli politician.
The shocking graphic is captioned: “Truly evil people don’t just hurt others, they take pride in the pain they cause and then try to blame their victims.”

Khizar Hussain and Aftab Nawaz with Sir Keir StarmerGB NewsYesterday, a Labour source told GB News that the party was aware of the screenshot, and Cllr Hussain had been administratively suspended pending an investigation.
The same source confirmed that he later lost his role as deputy leader of the Labour group.
Soon after his suspension, Mr Hussain quit Labour with immediate effect, writing in a resignation letter that the party was “not safe for anyone with Muslim beliefs.”
He slammed Keir Starmer and local MP Valerie Vaz for not supporting a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, adding “the Muslim community is being played by the Labour Party.”

The former councillor complained about the ongoing investigation into his allegedly sectarian chanting, sparked by a GB News report, but did not mention his alleged post comparing Netanyahu with Hitler.
Mr Hussain did not respond to our request for comment.
