Palestine protesters lock together to block road in Leicester as factory workers barred from going to work
Pro-Palestine protesters are blocking the road in Leicester outside a factory.
The group, Palestine Action are preventing workers from accessing Elbit Systems at Meridian Business Park.
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, the group said: “Palestine Action lock-on to lock-out the workforce and block both sides of the road leading to Leicester’s Israeli weapons factory #ShutElbitDown.
“Join us at Meridian East, Meridian Business Park, Leicester, LE19 — Together, we will #ShutElbitDown!”

In the video, the protesters can he heard saying: “Shut Elbit Down”.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire Police said: “ROAD CLOSURE | Meridian East, Leicester.
“Please avoid the area whilst officers deal with a police incident. Updates to follow.”
