Spanish locals were left furious at two British tourists after they climbed over a sacred nativity display.
Enraged Spaniards branded the two men “puto ingleses” – which translates to “f***ing English” – as they screamed at them to get “out”.
The disrespectful behaviour took place in in the centre of Jerez de la Frontera, in Cadiz.
The two men climbed over the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus and were accused of vandalising the Christmas scene.
City council officials have since confirmed that the model of the Baby Jesus was ruined and now needs replacing.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the vandalism.
